Since 1991, Leavenworth Animal Welfare Society has been helping improve the lives of pets in Leavenworth County, KS. Our primary focus is ending pet over-population by providing free spay/neuter surgeries for any cat or dog residing in Leavenworth County, KS. The LAWS Free Spay/Neuter Program began in February 2010 and since then, LAWS has paid for over 14,000 surgeries!

LAWS is also committed to helping homeless pets. Ill or injured animals receive medical care and volunteers work tirelessly to find animal rescue groups who can take these hopeful dogs and cats into their programs. LAWS also provides pet food to Leavenworth pet owners in need through the LAWS Free Pet Food Pantry.

LAWS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organizaiton, ID 48-1108530, entirely run by volunteers and funded 100% by public donations.
