The Detroit Concert Choir is Detroit's international award-winning premier vocal ensemble, celebrated for exceptional programming and distinctive performances. Founded in 1987 by Gordon E. Nelson, the Detroit Concert Choir promotes musical excellence by uniting people through inspiring concert performances, education, and community engagement. The 75-voice choir is comprised of musicians of varying ages and backgrounds who gather from over 35 communities. The choir is honored to perform in some of the most beautiful and historic churches and performing arts centers throughout the Detroit area.
