Our History — The Vision of Founder Raymon Jordan

Founded in 1968, RJ’s Riverside Terrace Café is a historic Houston establishment rooted in the vision and legacy of Raymon Jordan, an attorney with a deep passion for the arts, culture, education, and community development.

Throughout the decades, the establishment operated under different names and evolved through various chapters of Houston’s history. Yet its purpose remained constant: to serve as a gathering place where attorneys, professionals, community leaders, artists, entrepreneurs, and neighbors could come together to exchange ideas, build relationships, celebrate culture, and enjoy good food, drinks, and conversation.
