On Camera Vienna
Brook Hall is an internationally experienced acting coach, director, producer, and casting professional who brings the realities of the film industry directly into the classroom.
Originally recruited to Austria to help launch Vienna’s English Theatre Academy (VETA), Brook became a key figure in developing its acting training programs. He created the Acting Foundation Program, served as Head of Department from 2022, established the ON CAMERA and advanced LAB programs, and trained more than 100 actors in professional on-camera technique. He also produced VETA’s annual film project from 2020 to 2024.
Brook has recently taught on-camera acting at BSA and Filmschule Vienna. In 2023, he founded On-Camera Vienna, giving English-speaking actors in the region the opportunity to train with professional-grade equipment, audition material, and practical techniques designed for film and television.
Before Vienna, Brook built an extensive career across Asia and the United States as a producer, director, choreographer, casting assistant, and acting coach. He personally selected more than 3,000 actors for film, television, commercial, music, and live-event projects. His workshops became a leading destination for international acting training in Taiwan, attracting talent agents, production companies, casting directors, universities, and celebrity performers from across Taiwan and China.
His production credits include second-unit directing the Chinese-language 5M eature Voyage to PanGu, serving as First Assistant Director on the 1M Hollywood feature STAND, and running Ripple Productions, a respected production company in the music-video, commercial, and event industries. He also created an on-camera audition workshop with the casting department of Martin Scorsese’s Silence and worked as Adam Driver’s stand-in. Having worked alongside four Oscar-winning actors, Brook understands what translates on set—and what makes an actor stand out.
Today, he combines this real-world experience with a practical, supportive teaching style that helps actors build confidence, sharpen their technique, and become more prepared, present, and compelling on camera.
He also leads Vienna Filmmakers, a community of more than 1,600 filmmakers committed to connecting, learning, and creating together.
