Christopher Clark
Chris Clark is multi hyphenate artist specializing in Writing/Directing, Improv and Music Performance. As an ensemble member of the spoken word improv collective PREACH, he performed all across the United States and most notably hosted and co-wrote shows at Chicago's Second City (Steve Carell, Keegan Michael Key, Amber Ruffin, Jason Sudeikis, Bob Odenkirk and many more) and Steppenwolf Theatre. Musically he's performed at Chicago's House of Blues and DuSable Museum as well as led writing workshops high schools and universities striving to not just make better writers, but better people.
Playground Improv is a marriage between two things he loves, improv and hip hop culture. You won't get the same basic icebreakers and group activities solely focused on being funny. Chris' approach helps each participant discover "their funny" and the impact of community. The best improv groups are great not just because their funny, but because they listen to each other and they facilitate safety for themselves and other improvisors, and that can only fully happen with an understanding of their identity.
Playground Improv is about having fun rediscovering you, the way we did as children through imagination. So come enjoy Playground Improv at least once and "Learn to be brave one scene at a time."
