Hi, I’m Laurene Brown, founder and curator of The Gathering Nook.

While The Gathering Nook is a new concept, creating meaningful moments for people is anything but new to me.

For more than 30 years, I have been involved in weddings and special events as a wedding officiant and ceremony designer, helping couples create ceremonies that feel personal, beautiful, and true to their story. Over the years, I’ve learned that it’s often the thoughtful details—not the biggest or most elaborate ones—that people remember most.

That passion is what led me to create The Gathering Nook.

I wanted to create something intimate and beautifully curated where people could slow down, connect, celebrate, and simply be present with the people who matter most.

Whether you’re planning a date night, proposal, birthday, celebration, or simply want to create a meaningful moment together, I personally care about the details that make your time in the Nook special.

And because I know that booking something new can come with questions, I want you to know that there is a real person behind The Gathering Nook.

That person is ME.
