Julie Ragusa
Julie Ragusa’s life was never going to fit neatly into a box.
A multipotentialite by nature, her life has moved through food, photography, film, entrepreneurship and real estate. She’s been a chef and photographer, produced films, owned a clothing store, created a vegan chocolate catering company while living in Europe, and founded Belgium’s first roller derby league. Today, she has built a successful career in real estate.
And those are just the chapters that are easy to explain. Somewhere along the way, she also managed a bingo hall — because apparently there were still a few things she hadn't tried yet.
What looks like an eclectic résumé is really just how Julie has always approached life: when something interests her, she wants to experience it. And when something matters to her, she puts her whole heart into it.
Teaching and coaching have been woven through that life for years. She’s coached roller derby, taught culinary workshops and led real estate workshops. And throughout all of those very different chapters, she kept hearing the same thing from people around her: you inspire me.
It took Julie a while to recognize that there might be something worth paying attention to in those words.
Now, at 54, she’s training for her first Pikes Peak Ascent, continuing to build her real estate career and stepping more intentionally into coaching.
There may not be a neat little box for a life like Julie’s. Good. She wouldn’t know what to do with one anyway.
