Leeka Parra is a Canadian mezzo-soprano whose passion for opera has been a lifelong love, brought to life through formal singing studies during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, she has embraced every opportunity to perform and share her love of music with others. Her operatic repertoire ranges from dramatic roles such as Azucena and Carmen to the lighter, lyrical role of Cherubino. Leeka has appeared as a soloist with Luminis Choir and has received numerous First Place awards at the Unionville Music Competition. She has also competed at the OMFA Provincial Finals for several years, placing Third in 2024, and is a recipient of an award from the London International Competition. Above all, Leeka loves singing for people and hopes to continue performing in as many concerts as possible. Her journey is inspired by her grandmother’s words: “No matter what day you are having, good or bad—just sing.”
