Meet Thu Thuy an Artist & Creative Educator

Thu Thuy is a Vietnamese-American artist, designer, and creative educator. Born in Da Lat, Vietnam, she came to the United States with her family in 1975 after the fall of Saigon, arriving by helicopter to the Seventh Fleet before settling in Wisconsin.

Thuy discovered her passion for art in high school after being introduced to art classes for the first time. Although she later majored in Microbiology, creativity remained a lifelong passion. From painting and floral design to event decorating, jewelry, and pottery, she has explored many artistic mediums.

After moving to Atlanta and starting a family, Thuy turned her creativity into a career while staying home with her children. Today, she enjoys creating unique, handmade pottery and sharing her artistic knowledge with others.

Thuy believes her journey from Vietnam to America shaped the artist she is today. She is passionate about creativity, giving back, preserving our natural resources, and inspiring the next generation of artists.
