DAY ONE Early Learning Community is a nonprofit organization based in Poughkeepsie, NY, building the child care infrastructure the Hudson Valley depends on. We work to expand access to high-quality early childhood education, grow the early education workforce through programs like our Teacher Apprenticeship Pathway (TAP), and organize communities around the policies and investments that support young children and their families.

Our events bring together families, educators, advocates, and community partners — from roundtables with elected officials to community celebrations like BRIDGING THE GAP — all in support of one shared belief: every child, and every community, deserves a strong start.
