In 2011, our founder encountered a message that challenged her deeply, the call to not just believe, but to become a doer. It sparked a simple but powerful question within her: How can I truly impact the lives of others? Moved by this conviction, she rallied family and friends, and together they gathered clothing, shoes, books, and toys to support underserved communities. It was a heartfelt effort, and for many, it made a difference, but as she stood in those communities, she realized something was missing.

The need went far beyond material support. She began to ask harder questions: How do you clothe a sick body? Can a child truly learn when they are unwell? It became clear that without health, every other form of support could only go so far.

Returning from that mission, she carried not just memories, but a burden to do more. She reached out to the medical professionals within her network and brought them together for a simple but intentional brainstorming meeting. That moment, driven by compassion, clarity, and purpose, became the foundation of what is now our annual medical mission.

At the heart of it all is a belief she still holds strongly today: if we can help save a life, we can help save a generation.
