Action for Hogshaw is a community group established to protect and enhance the land at Hogshaw, formerly the "Old Town Tip", Buxton. The site provides an important mosaic of habitats that provide a haven for wildlife.

Our aims centre around community engagement to support these vital green spaces in our community for the benefit of nature and people.

We have run events such as an RSPCA Dog Show, , litter picks, Dawn Chorus walks, Buxton Garden Trail, Talks, Save our Rec Banner event, demonstration and Yoga on the Rec. So do look out for our future events. As we become a more established group we are hoping to increase community involvement in a range of projects and events.

We believe access to nature on your doorstep is essential to wellbeing. More and more of these spaces are being swallowed up by developments that push nature further and further away from people's daily lives.
