Holsten Human Capital Development (HHCD) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to strengthening communities by expanding access to resources that promote self-sufficiency, wellness, and stability.

Founded in 1999 as the nonprofit arm of Holsten Real Estate Development Corporation, HHCD supports community revitalization through housing stability, workforce development, resident services, and strategic partnerships. Since 2001, HHCD has helped more than 1,800 Chicago Housing Authority residents successfully transition to mixed-income communities while fostering strong, connected neighborhoods.

Today, HHCD serves families across Chicago and the surrounding region through neighborhood-based programs and initiatives that empower individuals, strengthen communities, and create lasting opportunities.
