Hi! I'm Lisset Mendoza, a Mexican-American filmmaker and the writer/director of the upcoming independent feature film, Finding Jose. I created the Spanglish Mixer with a simple goal: to bring people together. Whether you're learning Spanish, practicing English, reconnecting with your heritage, new to the area, or simply looking to meet great people, this event is for you. My hope is to build a welcoming community where people from all backgrounds can connect through language, culture, and conversation while supporting local businesses and independent filmmaking. Every ticket helps bring Finding Jose to life, but more importantly, it helps create a space where everyone feels welcome. Creé el Spanglish Mixer con un objetivo muy sencillo: reunir a las personas. Ya sea que quieras practicar español, mejorar tu inglés, reconectar con tus raíces, seas nuevo en la ciudad o simplemente quieras conocer gente increíble, este evento es para ti.
