With a distinguished career spanning business development, media, entrepreneurship, public relations, and community engagement, Alva has built a reputation as a connector of people, organizations, and opportunities. She is the Founder and CEO of the Alva Kattan Foundation, a nonprofit organization committed to empowering individuals and strengthening communities through education, entrepreneurship, leadership development, philanthropy, and social impact initiatives.

Throughout her career, Alva has interviewed prominent artists, influencers, business leaders, elected officials, and community changemakers, while also serving in leadership roles within numerous civic and nonprofit organizations. Her passion for community service has led her to support initiatives focused on youth empowerment, women’s leadership, entrepreneurship, public safety, family development, and community collaboration.

Alva has received multiple recognitions for her contributions to the community, including a Congressional Recognition for her achievements as a Serial Entrepreneur, recognition from Mill of Means, and the establishment of Alva Kattan Day, proclaimed in the City of Houston in honor of her dedication to service and community impact.

Most recently, as Chair of the Program Committee for the landmark United by the Game initiative, she helped unite more than 150 organizations, business leaders, diplomatic representatives, elected officials, and community stakeholders, bringing together over 2,500 attendees in a powerful demonstration of collaboration and civic engagement.

Through the Alva Kattan Foundation, she continues her mission of creating opportunities, building bridges between communities, and inspiring others to lead with purpose, compassion, and vision.
