The Shared Table is a social dining experience that brings strangers together through handmade food, shared meals, and meaningful conversation.

Founded by Jenny, a former restaurant owner and culinary instructor, Jenny is also a 4.9-star rated Asian cooking instructor and experience host on Classpop, specializing in immersive, hands-on culinary experiences that focus on connection, culture, and shared dining.

Jenny’s expertise goes beyond dumplings. She specializes in Asian home-style cooking and street food experiences, using locally sourced ingredients to recreate authentic everyday flavors and food culture from across Asia. Her experiences often include dishes such as dumplings, bao buns, hand-pulled noodles, dan dan noodles, handmade ramen, sushi rolls, beef scallion pancakes, scallion pancakes, spring rolls, grilled skewers, and other regional comfort foods and street snacks.

After years of hosting cooking classes and private culinary events, Jenny created The Shared Table to move beyond traditional instruction and build something more meaningful — a space where food becomes a way to slow down, connect, and share real human experiences.

Each experience is hands-on, relaxed, and intentionally small in scale. Guests cook together in groups, share a freshly prepared meal, and engage in natural conversation in a warm, welcoming environment.

We host intimate gatherings in the Research Triangle Park area designed for people who want to meet new friends, enjoy meaningful time together, and experience Asian home-style and street food cooking in a personal, interactive way.

This is the first public shared dining experience by The Shared Table on Eventbrite, building on prior hosted experiences in intimate community and Classpop settings.
