Tonya Lee Carrie is an accomplished communicator with expertise in life coaching, public speaking—inspirational as well as comedic—and authorship. She has published four books and two coloring prayer journals, including her latest work, ‘I Am Sunny’s Momma…Overcoming the Loss of a Son.’ Her experience includes freelancing as a columnist for Cox Media (Dayton Daily Newspapers), alongside contributions to numerous newspapers, magazines, and other publications. Additionally, she is an illustrator of inspirational keepsakes and calendars.

Recognized within ministry circles for articulating clear truths regarding relationships and delivering messages that inspire hope, love, and joy.

She provides guidance to those seeking change by offering inspiration, motivation, encouragement, and forward-thinking perspectives. Carrie's commitment to positive action and her refusal to accept defeat or despair exemplify a way of living grounded in steadfast and compassionate regard for others. She is regarded as trustworthy due to her core values, integrity, loyalty, respect for diversity, dedication to purposeful living, and strong sense of community.

Carrie serves as the Founder, Artistic, and Creative Director of God’s Freedom Fighters International (GFFI), a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Through GFFI, she has coordinated numerous citywide entertainment and faith-based events across Ohio, including several 24-hour prayer vigils. Carrie has facilitated workshops with Partners in Hope, Lincoln Community Center, and Troy Rec Center. Additionally, she collaborated with the Rec Center to organize a Father’s and Daughter Dinner Dance in 2022.

Carrie was acknowledged by former Ohio Governor Bob Taft and President Barack Obama for her exceptional contributions as a change agent. She served in the United States Army Reserve and received an honorable discharge. In 2011, she graduated from the Troy Leadership program and currently acts as an ambassador for the Arbogast Performing Arts Center.
