Founded by Chanthal- a lifelong bookworm , Long Dark House grew from a love of storytelling, community, and the strange magic that happens when readers gather together. Through book clubs, themed events, author conversations, and immersive experiences, Long Dark House aims to create a welcoming home for curious minds of all ages, genre enthusiasts, and anyone drawn to the mysterious and imaginative.

Before opening its permanent storefront in Fall of 2026, Long Dark House is building community through pop-ups and events that blend books, atmosphere, and conversation—from coastal horror gatherings and literary salons to collaborations with local artists, makers, and creators.
