Koikoi began in Tokyo in 2025, hosting small matchmaking events for people who'd grown tired of dating apps. Since then we've run 71 events across Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka, and watched 313 couples come out of them.

We're now bringing the same approach to Australia and New Zealand, where we think the case is even stronger: a generation of warm, curious, open-minded people who've never quite had a place built for them to meet.
