Old First Preservation & Community Foundation
The Old First Preservation and Community Foundation Inc. provides management, maintenance, restoration and preservation of the Old First Church building located at 729 Carroll Street, Brooklyn, New York. Old First Church, constructed between 1889-1891, is a historically and architecturally significant structure which has been entered in the National Register of Historic Places. It is frequently made available for public viewing and is a focal point of the local community, providing space for a variety of community and arts based organizations. In addition, the Foundation supports local not-for-profit community organizations, among which are performing arts and educational organizations, and assists the Church's activities in support of the community, including the Church's work to provide shelter for the homeless and food relief. The Foundation’s activities are not religious.
