DRAKE – The Bookshop isn’t just about books; it’s about the people who love them, shaping everything from the titles we choose to the events we host. In our story, it’s our readers who bring the pages to life, and we’re simply here to help you find the next chapter.

What we do for you:

As well as keeping the shop filled with an interesting and carefully selected range of books, and with the capacity to order titles in for you for the next working day, there are currently 7 book clubs that run in the shop or virtually. Bookworms, High Rise Readers, YA, Romantasy, adult and a silent book club to suit all your book discussion needs. We have a well established program of school based author events which run alongside assemblies, workshops and advice and stocking service. Regular book events take place in the shop and in external venues we have build a relationship with over the years. We have also hosted music events in the shop themed around books.
