Hold Space
Hi! I’m Claudia. I started Hold Space for two very real reasons: making friends as an adult is weirdly hard… and sometimes you need people around you to help refill your cup.
I’ve lived here for two years, and I won’t lie — it took me most of that time to actually start building real friendships. I tried classes, events, putting myself out there… but a lot of them weren’t designed for connection. Everyone either came with friends or kept to themselves, and suddenly I’m the one trying to cold-open conversations like it’s a networking event
“Uh… do you like cheese?!” (10 points to Gryffindor if you get this very millennial reference.)
And after long days working in corporate America, I kept telling myself, “Just sit down, watch Netflix, you’ll feel better.” Except… I didn’t. Don’t get me wrong — I’ve seen everything in the Top 10 at any given moment. But it wasn’t giving reset, rest, or relaxation. It was just… MORE. SCREEN. TIME.
What I actually wanted was simple:
Something creative, without having to plan it.
Something social, without the pressure.
A place to laugh, make something with my hands, listen to good music, and maybe — just maybe — meet people who also showed up alone.
So I built it.
Hold Space is basically like a party at your house… but you don’t have to clean, plan, or host. You just show up. We’ll have something fun to make, a few ways to connect (nothing awkward, promise), good music, and a room full of people who are probably feeling the same way you are.
If any part of this made you think, “okay wait… I need that,” then you’re exactly who this is for. Truly — all ages are welcome. We’re going for family-friendly, come-as-you-are energy.
We’d love to see you
