Mahai Retreat is an 11-room boutique retreat center on the Caribbean coast of Mexico, created to offer a different kind of experience—one rooted in connection with nature.

Surrounded by the ocean, mangroves, and tropical landscape of Mahahual, Mahai invites guests to slow down, step away from the noise of daily life, and reconnect with the natural world. Life here unfolds in rhythm with the sun, the tides, and the gentle pace of coastal living.

Mahai was designed with a commitment to working in harmony with the environment. The retreat operates largely off-grid using solar energy, rainwater collection, and natural wastewater treatment systems that support the surrounding ecosystem.

Guests come to Mahai individually or in groups to rest, reflect, and experience a deeper connection with themselves, with community, and with the living world around them.

Mahai Retreat is owned by the Spirit Voyage Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring people to live in greater harmony with the natural world. As part of this mission, Mahai serves as a place where visitors can experience sustainable living practices and deepen their awareness of the beauty and fragility of coastal ecosystems.
