Founded in 1991 as a joint program of the Carroll County Arts Council and the Department of Music at McDaniel College, Chamber Music on the Hill (CMOTH) is dedicated to providing opportunities to the citizens of Central Maryland to enjoy live classical music and other musical traditions. CMOTH features an annual series of concerts and recitals by outstanding musicians and performers. Through these concerts and other activities it seeks to educate its audiences in all aspects of chamber music and to afford a unique personal experience with performers and each other.

Under the leadership of its Board of Directors, Chamber Music on the Hill is guided by the following principles.

• Programs will feature not only varied musical expression centered around Western music from the Baroque Period to the 21st Century but also music from global and international traditions.

• Tickets will be priced to be affordable to the entire community with discount incentives.

• Concerts will be for community members of all ages, races and backgrounds.

• Concerts will be performed in venues and facilities accessible to all.
