As a Special District of the State of California, we are a local public agency formed by residents of a community to provide specific services, with a focus on prioritizing public health and safety.

We collect everything that goes down your drain or toilet. We treat it in our wastewater plant until it's clean. Then we release it into the Mare Island Strait. We also keep rainwater flowing through the storm drains and channels, so it doesn't flood streets and buildings.
