National Police Dog Foundation
Born in 1998 with a bold vision, the National Police Dog Foundation set out to protect and uplift the lives of police K9s and their handlers in California. By 2004, that mission had grown into a nationwide force for impact. Powered entirely by volunteers, we have become a lifeline for law enforcement K9s across the country—funding their purchase, training, emergency medical care for active and retired K9s.
We exist to ensure these courageous heroes are never forgotten or left without support. From the front lines to their final days, we stand beside them—raising awareness and honoring their sacrifice. When a K9 gives its life in the line of duty, we not only honor them at the National Police K9 Memorial Service (May 11th annually, during Police Week), but we also help departments rise again by funding the next hero, ensuring the legacy of bravery continues.
This is more than a mission—it’s a commitment to those who protect and serve without hesitation.
