Nala Kun
Nala Kun is an artist and SF art guide who has lived and worked in the Bay Area for over a decade. Deeply inspired by the city’s architecture and cultural energy, she is an integral part of its contemporary art ecosystem. Nala has longstanding relationships with both major institutions and underground art spaces, as well as private galleries that are often accessible only by appointment.
Her signature SF Art Walks emerged organically from her lifelong passion for experiencing art firsthand, wandering through galleries, museums, and exhibition openings while mapping her own intuitive routes through the city. What began as intimate walks with friends and fellow art lovers soon evolved into a public experience after collectors and her Instagram audience of over 30,000 followers began asking to join her journeys through the city.
Now entering their third refreshed season in 2026, Nala’s art walks are thoughtfully curated explorations that reveal a rarely seen side of SF to visitors and even longtime residents. Each walk offers access to several galleries, including private, appointment-only spaces where curators and gallerists warmly welcome guests and share insights about current exhibitions.
More than a tour, this is an immersive cultural experience. Throughout the walk, Nala invites participants into meaningful conversations about color, composition, materiality, and the deeper ideas behind the artworks. Her approach helps guests develop visual literacy, confidence in their own perceptions, and a growing appreciation for collecting and engaging with contemporary art.
Nala’s mission is to challenge the narrow narratives about SF and reveal a city that vibrates with creativity, artists, and cultural life. She creates a welcoming, relaxed, and intellectually stimulating atmosphere where guests feel comfortable asking questions, sharing impressions, and discovering new perspectives.
Nala Kun’s Art Walks are a rare blend of curatorial insight, urban storytelling, and artistic discovery, a gentle yet transformative journey that reshapes how you see both art and SF itself.
