Established in 1958, Children of the Mekong is a French NGO which was granted the French Republic's Human Rights Award in 1990. The charity helps children gain access to education, by offering individual or collective sponsorships and building schools and foster homes in South-East Asia.

More than 23,000 children are sponsored by Children of the Mekong, and over 70,000 children are benefiting from our education programs and projects across 6 countries: Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, the Philippines, Cambodia, and Myanmar.

Children of the Mekong Hong Kong was created in 2003. It is a tax-exempt NGO, helping children in Asia to receive the education every child deserves. Managed by volunteers passionate about making a difference in the lives of underprivileged children, the Hong Kong branch is very active, organizing awareness campaigns and fundraising.
