Tania Kaaz

Tania Kaaz

Tania Kaaz is a Denver-based photographer who works primarily in analog film, exploring the unpredictability of the medium. She experiments with film soup, chemical manipulation, and emulsion distortion, creating images that sit between realism and abstraction. Tania’s work has earned awards and recognition, and she has exhibited widely in Denver and beyond.

Tania is a member of Heads of Hydra, a collective of photographers expanding creative consciousness, and the founder of Alter/Analog, an online and print magazine celebrating alternative film processes and experimental photography.

Her photographs invite viewers to experience film as a living, tactile medium — one full of surprises, happy accidents, and transformations that only happen when you let the process take its own path. Her photography mirrors human experience: through chaos, melee, and damage, what survives is transformed, resilient, and uniquely beautiful.
