I began crafting with leather at the workbench in my childhood home, nestled in the woods with my family.

After pushing my craft and building a small business in Maine, I spun off into a career with Camille Fournet Paris, in partnership with Cartier - Including formal training in France and New York.

Held was born as a means to pursue my creativity and explore new opportunities outside of my formal work with French fashion houses. It has since grown and my current work focuses mainly on bespoke commissions for interior design. Teaching classes and working with the community brings me joy, and helps nourish the studio ethos!
