About MKE Book Mission – the team behind MKE Books & Beers

MKE Book Mission started with a simple idea: Milwaukee needed more spaces where books and community could come together. Through MKE Books & Beers, we host events that mix reading with real connection, celebrating local authors, supporting small businesses, and making books more accessible across the city.

At every event, we collect books through community book drives and donate them to local literacy nonprofits, women’s shelters, foster families, and children’s hospitals. We’re also proud to support the work of the Milwaukee Public Libraries, because access to books and resources should never be limited.

Our mission is simple: keep books in people’s hands and stories in our community.
