Obibini Pictures, founded by filmmaker and Howard University professor Akosua Adoma Owusu, produces award-winning films and cultural initiatives spotlighting African and diasporic voices. Owusu’s internationally acclaimed work has been presented at the Berlinale, Venice Biennale, MoMA, and the National Gallery of Art, and her projects include the revival of Ghana’s historic Rex Cinema. Through Obibini Pictures, she continues to nurture emerging storytellers and reimagine spaces for Black independent cinema.
