McGough Nature Park

Known to many as “the turtle park,” George C. McGough Nature Park is a 26-acre park nestled along the Intracoastal Waterway. The park features a shady oak hammock, butterfly garden, live animal exhibits, and a popular turtle deck overlooking a pond filled with aquatic turtles.

Visitors can explore the Nature Center, home to interactive displays and live animal habitats including 19 rescued, non-releasable birds (owls, hawks & an eagle). You can also enjoy outdoor features such as picnic pavilions, a recycled-tire walking trail & playground. The park also offers hands-on environmental education programs yearly and monthly events.
