**Shak’s Hope Foundation** is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness, providing education, and improving the quality of life for individuals and families affected by Sickle Cell Disease in Florida, Jamaica, and beyond.
Founded in honor of the late **Shakira Aminah Martin**, Miss Jamaica Universe 2011—who courageously battled Sickle Cell Disease—Shak’s Hope is the legacy of her life, passion, and advocacy. The foundation was established by her and her mother, **Andrea Hall**, who serves as Executive Director and continues her daughter’s mission of hope, healing, and empowerment.

To educate and build awareness about Sickle Cell Disease while providing support and critical resources to those living with the condition.

* **Public Education & Advocacy Campaigns**
* **Care Package Distribution** for patients and families
* **Sickle Cell Awareness Events**, such as the annual *Islands of Hope Brunch*
* **Panel Discussions** featuring patients and healthcare professionals
* **Outreach Programs** in hospitals, schools, and underserved communities
* **International Support**, including annual Easter Treats and giveaways across multiple hospitals in Jamaica
