My Mustard Seed Foundation, Inc.
Cultivating Connection, Growing Community.
Our Mission
To cultivate community wellness by providing equitable access to agricultural education and fresh, nutrient-dense food—bridging the gap between our neighbors and the land that sustains them.
The My Mustard Seed Ecosystem
We operate through three intentional pillars to ensure our community is nourished, educated, and restored:
My Mustard Seed (The Urban Farm): Our production heart. We provide non-GMO, organic Microgreens, Edible Flowers, and Herbs, grown with restorative practices to ensure peak nutrition and vibrant flavor.
My Mustard Seed Refuge (The Farm Store, Venue & Wellness Hub): Our physical sanctuary in Owings, Maryland. This is a boutique farm store for shopping, a restorative venue for inclusive Events, and a dedicated space for our Wellness Workshops.
My Mustard Seed Foundation (The 501(c)(3) Nonprofit): The "Each One Teach One" engine that drives food access, educational workshops, and youth empowerment.
Our Core Foundation Initiatives
1. The "Hybrid" CSA Program: Farm-to-Table Equity
Our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program is a curated experience designed to nourish the soul and the body. We believe in the power of local collaboration, which is why our CSA boxes feature:
Our Signature Harvest: Freshly harvested, non-GMO, organic Microgreens, Edible Flowers, and Herbs straight from our urban farm.
Locally Sourced Essentials: A rotating selection of seasonal produce and artisanal goods from our neighboring farm partners and local spirit vendors.
Food Access: We utilize this program to ensure that families facing barriers to high-quality nutrition have consistent access to a diverse, healthy food basket.
2. Wellness Workshops & Community Education
Hosted at the My Mustard Seed Refuge, our workshops are designed to be a steady breath of fresh air. We offer hands-on sessions ranging from "Seed-to-Table" nutrition to restorative wellness practices, making agricultural and self-care literacy accessible to every neighbor.
3. Community Garden Assistance Initiative
We don't just grow for the community; we grow with them. This initiative provides the technical "know-how," organic seeds, and hands-on assistance needed for neighborhoods to establish their own gardens, fostering long-term food sovereignty and self-sufficiency.
4. Youth Empowerment & "Little Growers"
Giving the next generation a front-row seat to the magic of the soil. Through specialized youth programs, we provide the tools and knowledge needed to understand the food system and nurture the environment.
The "100% Human" Promise
We are more than a nonprofit; we are a soulful sanctuary. Whether you are subscribing to our CSA, attending an Event or Wellness Workshop at the Refuge, or learning how to start a backyard garden, you are part of a movement to plant seeds of knowledge that our community can harvest for generations.
