Fountain Blues Foundation

Fountain Blues Foundation

The Fountain Blues Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is dedicated to preserving and promoting the indigenous American music known as the blues, along with related genres such as rock 'n' roll and R&B. Activities include live performances, broadcasts, lectures, and community education, culminating in the longest-running blues festival in Northern California—the San Jose Fountain Blues & Brews Festival—and live music events throughout the year.

Our mission is to create performance opportunities for blues and roots musicians, introduce diverse audiences to the blues and its musical offshoots, and mentor emerging artists to foster professional growth. We also aim to strengthen community ties by collaborating with local businesses, venues, and merchants, while supporting San Jose’s cultural and economic development through dynamic live music programming.
