The Inner Ish
Ishkara Heqwabti
Sound Mystic | Certified Sound Healer | Kemetic Yoga Instructor | Healing Arts Speaker
Ishkara is a Berklee-trained vocalist and 4th-generation musician who fuses Ancestral wisdom with sound healing to raise the collective frequency of humanity. With a BM in Music Synthesis, she has mastered the use of sound as a tool for transformation and spiritual restoration. Her artistic path spans lead roles in musical theater across the U.S., Europe, and the Caribbean, and collaborations with renowned musicians and opera singers.
Her calling shifted from performance to purpose when her singing sparked moments of clarity in her grandmother’s final days with Alzheimer’s. This awakening ignited a deep spiritual journey and a devotion to using sound as a portal to the unseen.
Founder of The Inner Ish, based in the Bronx, Ishkara leads transformative wellness experiences, connecting music, culture and movement as pathways for healing, deeply influenced by her African, West Indian, and Celtic heritage. Her work centers the BIPOC community and offers a powerful blend of Sound Alchemy, Kemetic yoga, Breathwork, Mantras and Meditation to support trauma release, cultural reclamation, and spiritual renewal while honoring ancestral traditions.
As a Speaker, through panels, keynotes, and workshops, Ishkara shares the time-honored principles of vibrational healing, drawing from how sound was used by ancient civilizations for wellness and spiritual balance.
Through The Inner Ish, she offers immersive experiences such as sound baths, vocal activation, sacred movement, mantra hikes, and soul-nourishing rituals. Ishkara’s offerings stand at the intersection of mindfulness, cultural remembrance, and energetic alignment—restoring harmony between self, nature, and community.
