The Johnson City Eye Clinic was established in 1942, evolving into what was to become the renowned Johnson City Eye Hospital. From this foundation, the Johnson City Eye Clinic has grown to provide a complete spectrum of eye care and surgical services in one facility for adult and pediatric patients. In addition to comprehensive eye care, our doctors specialize in cataract surgeries, the treatment of glaucoma, macular degeneration, retinal disease, cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries, and pediatric ophthalmology.

Johnson City Eye Clinic has the benefit of eight physicians and over one hundred ophthalmic staff members serving patients in TN, VA, KY, and NC. We work closely with area Optometrists who share the same philosophy of excellence in eye care. We believe that together we offer the patients in our region superior eye care and surgery services.

In 2004 the Johnson City Eye Clinic combined clinical, educational and surgical facilities to form the Johnson City Eye Center located in Med Tech Park. The Surgery Center was formed by the doctors of Johnson City Eye Clinic as another level in their continued commitment to providing complete eye care services. In this state-of-the-art facility, our doctors provide same-day procedures in a setting that meets the highest standards of quality care.

The Surgery Center’s status as an Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC) facility allows us to provide an extra measure of confidence to our patients. The Surgery Center is expertly staffed by our team of doctors, nurses, and technicians dedicated exclusively to ophthalmology. Our patient care is second to none.
