Kurth Memorial Library

Kurth Memorial Library

In 1924 a group of Lufkin ladies began the library with a collection of books housed in a former Kindergarten classroom. From that vision, dedication to education, and a small group of books they grew into Kurth Memorial Library which now houses over 100,000 items.

While serving communities within over a 50-mile radius with weekly Baby Lap Sit program, Children's Story Time, Bilingual Programming, Adult Crafternoon, Teen Karaoke Night, book clubs for kids, teens and adults, an Extensive Summer Reading program and more, the Kurth Memorial Library continues to open up your world!
