LaConda and Marcus Goree

About the Founder — LaConda Davies Goree

LaConda Davies Goree is the founder and CEO of Mustaquim Records LLC and the visionary behind N3W HOP3 Band, a music collective created from her belief that music can do more than entertain—it can encourage, restore, connect people, and give hope.

A singer, songwriter, producer, minister, entrepreneur, and community leader, LaConda’s journey has taken her through many seasons, both on and away from the stage. Her years as a professional vocalist helped shape her understanding of music as more than performance. For her, every lyric, every musician, every rehearsal, every opportunity, and every person who becomes part of the journey has meaning.

That philosophy became the foundation of N3W HOP3 Band.

N3W HOP3 was created with a mission to bring together gifted musicians and vocalists around something greater than individual recognition. Under LaConda’s leadership, the band represents God’s People. God’s Purpose. It is a musical family built around faith, excellence, authenticity, community, and the belief that hope can still be communicated through great music.

Why

The Journey

Matters

N3W HOP3 Band — The Journey is more than a concert for LaConda. It is an opportunity to stop long enough to recognize the people, sacrifices, relationships, lessons, victories, and moments that made the music possible.

In an industry that often focuses on the person standing in the spotlight, LaConda wants this event to deliberately turn some of that light toward the people who helped build the stage.

The musicians.

The vocalists.

The supporters.

The families.

The people behind the scenes.

The people who believed before there was anything impressive to see.

And especially those who made sacrifices so someone else’s vision could continue.

Through live performances, guest artists, photographs, video memories, special tributes, awards and personal storytelling, The Journey will allow the audience to experience not simply where N3W HOP3 is today, but how they got here.

For LaConda, appreciation is an important part of leadership. She believes that accomplishments should never become so important that we forget the people who helped us accomplish them. Success means more when there are people beside you with whom you can remember the rehearsals, the mistakes, the laughter, the difficult moments, the prayers, the breakthroughs and the victories.

That is why one of the most meaningful moments of The Journey will be an opportunity for LaConda to recognize her husband, Marcus K. Goree Sr., whose support has been an important part of her ability to continue pursuing the vision placed before her.

The Bigger Vision

LaConda does not want guests to leave October 24 simply saying, “That was a great show.”

She wants them to leave thinking about their own journey.

Who believed in me?

Who helped me when nobody was watching?

Who deserves to hear “thank you” while they are still here to receive it?

What difficult season did I survive that I once thought would defeat me?

And what purpose could still be waiting on the other side of my story?

That is the heart behind The Journey.

It is a celebration of music, but it is also a celebration of people, purpose, perseverance, gratitude and hope.

LaConda’s vision for Mustaquim Records and N3W HOP3 is not simply to build a successful band. It is to build something whose impact extends beyond a stage—something that reminds people that their stories matter, their gifts matter, their contributions matter, and the people walking beside them matter.

Because ultimately, the story of N3W HOP3 isn’t only about where the band is going.

It is about honoring everyone who helped them get there.

N3W HOP3 BAND — THE JOURNEY

God’s People. God’s Purpose.

The music is what brought us together.

The people are what made us family.

The journey is what gave us a testimony.

And hope is why we keep going.
