Kelly Buchanan is a highly regarded Newborn and Maternity photographer based in

San Antonio, Texas, known for her award-winning work, meticulous attention to newborn

safety, and her dedication to educating fellow photographers. Since discovering her

passion for photography in 2010, Kelly has continually grown in her craft, finding beauty in

every subject and taking pride in preserving precious memories for families. As a military

wife and mother to two beautiful daughters, Kelly deeply values the importance of

capturing meaningful moments.

Kelly came into education when she realized there was a gap in genuine teaching.

Keeping in mind that education is the key to our industry and that she wouldn't be where

she was without it, is what drives her to share with others who are excited to learn. Kelly is

enthusiastic about newborn education specifically because she feels as if there is not

enough available, and the safety of newborns is paramount. Kelly has studied and taken

multiple courses on newborn safety and posing, including a military course given to her

when she was the Demises Photography Provider for the Landstuhl Regional Medical

Center in Germany.
