Founded nearly 40 years ago, HANDS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that makes critical investments in Orange, NJ. HANDS’ mission is to create thriving, resilient communities where people can and choose to raise their families. In recent years, HANDS has made it a priority to improve health outcomes in Orange through programs that support economic development and housing stability. These initiatives include the Home Improvement Grant Program, the Sustain & Thrive Small Business Grant Program, and the Financial Capabilities workshops. These programs work together to equip residents with the knowledge and resources needed to improve their quality of life.
