Join us for a Mother's Day themed creative writing workshop led by Kath Hubbard. Bring an object (keepsake, recipe, photo, etc) with you that reminds you of your mother or maternal figure (grandmother, aunt, etc), and Kath will guide you through the brainstorming and writing process of crafting a personal essay about your memories associated with that object and person. Lunch is included!

Kath Hubbard is an educator and writer in Philadelphia whose fiction has been published by One Story, Blackbird, and more. She currently teaches at Thomas Jefferson University.

Where do I go?

When you arrive at St. James, enter through the main gate closest to 32nd Street. Go up the ramp and past the main entrance; follow yellow signs for The Welcome Table / Adult Education Center. The room is behind the main schoolhouse, across from the basketball court.
