A series of FREE practical textile workshops with artist Vicki Aimers. Explore traditional techniques inspired by the Newlyn Industrial Needlecraft Classes of the 1890's. Each session leads on from the last.

The Poetry Club will run alongside Abigail Reynolds’ solo exhibition Walking A Cappella showing across both Newlyn Art Gallery and The Exchange. There will be six sessions, from 15 Jan until 30 Apr, each led by a different artist.

Summer art classes for 7-12 years olds, inspired by the portraits in our summer exhibition Creative Connections Cornwall. The classes will take place at Newlyn Art Gallery.

As part of the exhibition Social Fabric, artist Vicki Aimers is running a series of FREE practical textile workshops, investigating the skills and techniques employed to produce some of the intriguing textile items in five regional museum collections.

Inspired by Abigail Reynolds’ exhibition Walking A Cappella at Newlyn Art Gallery & The Exchange, this two-day programme of bookable hands-on workshops, talks and free drop-ins explores seaweed through art, ecology, archives, walks and creative making.
