Tutors Alexandra Beteeva and Anuschka Barlas are graduates of the Glasgow School of Art (2022). As well as exhibiting in the UK and internationally, they teach fine art on a regular basis in Edinburgh, Glasgow and beyond. In 2022, they founded The Paper Stage, an artist-run platform celebrating figurative drawing and painting, through drawing and painting classes, workshops and exhibitions. Focusing on grassroots and community engagement with contemporary art debates and practice, their aim is to provide affordable art tuition and support for the many, and not the few, making it accessible to people from all walks of life.
