Organizer of Spring Birding Support
The British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) is a UK charity that focuses on understanding our wild birds and any changes in their populations. We’re grateful to be able to harness the passion of birdwatchers and those curious about nature to advance our understanding of birds and produce science for the benefit of birds and people. Our Wildlife Wanders are free, volunteer-led events which provide people around Northern Ireland with an opportunity to soak in the well-being benefits of spending time in nature, meet like-minded people and learn more about local wildlife. Whether you’ve never thought about nature before, or you’d like to enjoy and share your nature knowledge with others, we’d love to have you along. The Wanders involve taking a relaxed walk around a greenspace near you as a friendly group. Birds, trees, flowers, butterflies, bees, fungi... we observe, appreciate, and learn about whatever wildlife we find, while benefiting from time and exercise outdoors. Join us to enjoy our local wildlife each month as it changes with the seasons! The Wildlife Wanders are made possible thanks to the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
