Pottery Handbuilding

Color Cocktail Factory is a hands-on art studio in Pilsen, Chicago, with a second home in Eugene, Oregon. We teach pottery — wheel and handbuilding — plus glass fusion, mosaics, painting, candle and soap making, terrariums, and the occasional bonsai class.Every class is built for people who have never done it before. An instructor takes you through it start to finish, all materials are included, and you leave with something you made instead of a photo of an evening. Kiln pieces need a couple of weeks, so pottery and glass come with a return trip — we've decided that's part of the fun.Sessions are BYOB if you want them to be, and just as good if you don't. We host date nights, birthdays, bachelorette parties, team offsites and private groups, and gift cards let the recipient pick their own class.Come make something slightly worse than you pictured, and like it more.
