The Mining Remediation Authority is a non departmental public body and partner organisation of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero.Our mission:Making a better future for people and the environment in mining areas.Our purpose:we keep people safe and provide peace of mindwe protect and enhance the environmentwe use our information and expertise to help people make informed decisionswe create value and minimise cost to the taxpayerWe use our skills to provide services to other government departments and agencies, local governments and commercial partners. We work with DESNZ and Defra to deliver on UK Government priorities including the transition to net zero, and climate and nature action - supporting a sustainable path for the future. We also contribute to the wider environmental, social and economic priorities of the Scottish, Welsh and UK Governments. By sharing our knowledge and expertise, we support them and our partners to create safer, cleaner and greener nations for us all.
