Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be licensed to take this class?

In the state of Colorado it is required that you are a licensed cosmetologist, barber or hairstylist to offer hair extensions services. You may take this class as a student, but you cannot legally offer the services until you are officially licensed by DORA.

Who's teaching this course?

Cass and Mika both have their own salon suites where they specialize in hair extensions and have joined forces under Kaizen Beauty Institute to bring their knowledge to the local stylist of Colorado Springs | Instagram handles: @kaizenbeautyinstitute @cosmocass @mikas.artistry.shop

Is lunch provided?

Yes! Day one you can expect to have a lunch that will be approximately one hour long with food provided by the Kindness Cafe food truck! We will also have snack to munch on!

Will I be certified to offer Ktip extensions?

At Kaizen Beauty Institute, we believe hands-on practice is important! You will receive a certificate of training at the end of class, but it is expected that you practice on manikins and take models before you choose to charge full price for a Ktip transformation.

Do I need to bring anything? / What’s included in the kit?

No! Everything you need is a part of your kit! From clips, to combs, to Ktip specific tools KBI gots you covered! You’ll even get a manikin and stand to use for at-home practice!
