About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

Join us for an engaging presentation by Tony Albini, a Connecticut native who has spent over 35 years exploring and collecting the state’s remarkable minerals.

Connecticut’s geology is incredibly diverse, with over 400 mineral species and varieties found across numerous historic quarries and mines. Tony’s talk offers a pictorial and educational perspective on some of the finest specimens from his extensive collection, reflecting decades of field collecting and mentorship under the late Richard Schooner.

Don’t miss this opportunity to discover the beauty and history of Connecticut’s mineral treasures through the eyes of an expert collector.

The Tucson Fine Mineral Gallery is THE place to be for Tucson 2023. We are the center for fine mineral specimens, gemstones and carvings throughout the whole of the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show. Our 13,000 square feet gallery houses many of the world’s best-known dealers of high quality minerals, gemstones and related art. We also have a fantastic program of events lined up throughout the duration of the show as well as the Crystal Courtyard, which provides a spectacular enclosed, open-air dining area (serving food and refreshments daily) helping to make the Tucson Fine Mineral Gallery the premier social center of the fine mineral district.
